It’s our BMX racing experts working personally with you — sizing you up both physically and as an evolving racer — to design your perfect race bike one curated part at a time. It’s also our bicycle design experts and artisan painters listening to your vision to realize the Daylight you’ve been dreaming about one color at a time. As incredibly detailed as our Daylight builds have become, however, we have made the ordering process super easy and the good news is you’ve already taken the first step. We really do want to talk to you because we want to get to know you. You’ve come this far considering a Daylight which means something that we’re doing has captured your imagination. Tell us what you’re thinking. We want to know how long you have been racing or if it’s been awhile, what you’re riding now, what more do you want out of your bike, out of BMX. Of course, we’ll discuss all the basics of sizing, gearing, parts preferences, and perhaps most importantly — pricing, and together we will come up with a plan. STEP 2: BUILD, DESIGN, & REVIEW / more...
This is an ongoing conversation as we work with you to build your bike and develop a design concept “on paper”. We can communicate however is most convenient for you at any particular time — voice, text, Messenger, WhatsApp (especially good for intl clients). First and foremost — consider your budget and/or decide which parts and/or paint/design are a must have or at least at the top of your wish list. Again, check out our BUILD CLASSIFICATIONS — Team, Elite and Design — for a better understanding of what is possible within a certain price range. If you are still unsure which parts or what color or even where to begin, we can advise on all. Once completed, a build invoice listing every item with its price will be sent electronically to you for your review. Any change is possible until you approve and we move on to the next step — Production!
STEP 3: PAYMENT OPTIONS & SCHEDULE / more...
We typically ask for a deposit payment of 50% that can be paid with a credit or debit card via an online link found on the emailed invoice. As build times can vary based on current frame as well as parts availability, we can offer to further split the deposit into multiple payments. we also offer a financing option through Afterpay that will allow you to take ownership of your bike before paying for it in full. Cash, check, or wired funds are also all accepted forms of payment. If not financed, final payment of the balance due must be made prior to your bike being shipped. Shipping costs will be calculated and added onto your invoice prior to your deposit payment. Expected build time for all custom complete bikes is 6-8 weeks. If your frame size is in stock and there is no delay from manufacturers of the parts selected for your build, we may be able to deliver sooner. Likewise, Design builds and other bikes with a complex degree of custom paint may take slightly longer. Rest assured, we will remain in contact with you throughout the production period with the status of your project. As we truthfully tell all of our clients — no one wants you to have your Daylight more than we do!
