The Daylight Reward is Ready for Pre-Order!

When we started Daylight ten years ago, our goal was to build the highest quality BMX race frames possible, eventually earning World Championships and Olympic appearances. Now, we’re bringing that same emphasis on precision fabrication, raw weld quality, and custom finishes to mountain bikes. The Reward isn’t a mass-produced catalog frame—it’s a handcrafted, high-performance aluminum frame built right here in California.

Engineered for Agility and Precision

The Reward is designed for riders who want a fast, predictable, and agile bike. It features a near-vertical axle path, which keeps the wheelbase consistent and tight for quick cornering and sharp handling in tight switchbacks.

Because a near-vertical path relies heavily on the rear shock to handle direct impacts, we engineered the frame around a demanding 3:1 leverage ratio. This layout delivers excellent small-bump traction at the top of the stroke, with a strong mechanical ramp-up at the end to manage heavy G-outs and hard landings without harsh bottoming.

California Built, Custom Finished

Every Reward frame is hand-welded with robust CNC-machined hardware. From the welding jig, it goes straight to our powder coat or ceramic lab for its final finish. The frame is highly versatile and can be built as a fast-rolling full 29er, a dual slalom bike, or an aggressive 29”/27.5” Mullet setup.

Dual Travel Options & Specifications

Depending on your rear shock selection, the Reward frame adapts to your riding style:

• Enduro Mode: A 210mm x 55mm shock layout delivers 160mm of rear travel.

• Trail / Slalom Mode: A 210mm x 50mm shock layout drops travel to 146mm, letting the bike ride higher in the stroke for maximum pump and sprint efficiency.

• Material: Custom-butted 6061-T6 aluminum

• Rear Spacing: 12mm x 148mm Boost, UDH Ready (Mount included with frame)

• Sizes: Small, Medium, Large (see sizing and geo chart for more information)

We build the Reward in small, handcrafted batches. You can secure your frame today with a $500 deposit. From there, we will work with you to finalize your custom paint choices. We will also have premium suspension packages, headsets, and bottom brackets available to add to your order (component options and pricing will be finalized soon), with the remaining balance due when your bike is ready to ship.
